Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets offer designers a tremendous combination of extremely high magnetic properties, outstanding thermal stability and excellent corrosion resistance. Galvanized body, SmCo5 magnetic core, anisotropic, working temperature max. +200°C.
The holding force is determined at room temperature (20°C) on a polished plate made of mild steel with a thickness of 10 mm by pulling the magnet vertically from the surface (1 kg ≈ 10 N). A deviation of -10% in the stated values is possible in exceptional cases. In general, the value will be exceeded. Small cracks in the magnet do not influence the holding force.
Pot magnets do not chip or crack with constant impacting onto a steel surface which is another large advantage.
